Hornby High School - Year 13 students at Hornby High have put their cooking talents to use and given our staff a lovely surprise for morning tea on the last day of term. Room 3, Manawaru School - The book 'The Littlest Caterpillar' that you wrote, illustrated and published is wonderful. It is a happy story and it is great to see that 20 of your class contributed your ideas and creative writing skills. Thank you for caring about us and sending us a copy so we can enjoy it in our classes.
Westpac Canterbury Care - We were delighted to receive a phone call from Suzy Kofoed, Westpac - Business Manager Education, who informed us that we are the lucky recipients of $500. The school applied for this earthquake fund so we could continue to provide exciting education opportunities for our students and give them a treat at school. This takes some pressure away from families who may be struggling given recent events. Thanks Westpac!

Words cannot express the gratitude our school community feels for your company Vulcan Steele's outstandingly generous gift of $80 worth of thermal clothing to our students.
The delight on the children's faces yesterday when they opened their Postie Plus bags and saw all their new clothing was so genuine.

Havelock North Intermediate, Havelock North - Miss Wick, Miss Hawtin, Mr Stove, Summer, Isabella, Billy-Ray, Madelleine, Devon, Matthew and Cadell. Thank you so much for sending us some furry friends! Every student at LNS has their very own 'pet.' We loved the eyes and uniqueness of each of our wee friends. Some have been named! They are very comforting to snuggle and we love the way they move when you pat them! Our classes would love to say thank you and will be in touch via your wikispaces.

Room 19, Havelock North Intermediate School - After a very tough night of yet more aftershocks in Christchurch, a package arrived on our doorstep the following morning, filled to the brim with baking! What a lovely surprise! It was sent by a group of students who organised for their class to bake goodies for our students to enjoy. We held a special assembly, the letters from these concerned students in Room 19 were read to the whole school by our Head Boy and Girl, then everyone enjoyed afternoon tea together. We captured this special assembly on camera and the Pegasus Post will be running an article. Our students are going to share their gratitude, via a movie that will be posted on this website soon.
'Mrs Milo' Liz - you are a gem! You have provdied our students and families with beautiful hand-knitted beanies, clothing of all descriptions, blankets and bread. So generous was your donation, Claire our wonderful Social Worker in Schools, has been able to help distribute to people in need. You are a wonderful friend of the school, thank you so much.
Tauranga Writers Group - Thank you for the kind gesture of sending our children some wonderful books for the school library. I am sure that the books will be well read and enjoyed by our students. We are encouraging our children to read, as it offers them an opportunity to escape a little bit from the reality of our current situation.

Marion recently celebrated her 70th Birthday. Happy Birthday! Her wonderful friends donated a children's books, instead of personal gifts at Marion's request, to go to children in Christchurch. We were very fortunate to receive a wonderful selection of books for our children to enjoy, they are in our library for students to take home and read. At the rate they are flying off the shelves they are proving to be very popular. Thank you for thinking of us, very much appreciated!

We have been overwhelmed with the generosity and kindness shown by your Kristin students. We received special boxes filled with amazing toys, clothes and goodies that were gifted by Kristin School families. The spirit in which these special boxes have been put together has touched our hearts, as careful consideration was clearly made decisions were made about what treats would bring happiness into our lives. Such empathy and generosity is amazing! Room 4 has made a special video to voice their appreciation at receiving the presents. The school held a Red and Black day and fundraised the amazing amount of $576.50 This money has been donated to the students at Linwood North School to use for a fun day. It was gifted on behalf of the school by our student Azmir who went there for a few weeks after the earthquake! We are going to brainstorm ideas, and plan a day that will put smiles on our faces!
